GlobalSaké Experiences
Join us for the lovely Lafayette Reservoir LocWalk, led by GlobalSaké Roundtable member Saskia Rock !
After the walk we'll enjoy a picnic together, so bring your favorite lunch and beverage.
There are 2 loop options: The Lakeside Nature Trail (paved, 2.7 miles) takes about 1 hour and the Rim Trail (unpaved, 4.7 miles) will take about 1.5-2 hours. Both trails have beautiful views, but from the Rim Trail you can see Mt Diablo in all its glory! It's also possible to walk part of the Rim Trail and then walk down to the Lakeside Trail or vice versa, we'll decide together, based on the participants' preference.
Dogs are welcome too! Dogs must be kept on-leash and under control at all times; leashes may not be longer than 6 feet in length.
What to bring?
-Comfortable shoes for the paved trail and hiking shoes or boots for the unpaved trail
-Water bottle (you can refill along both trails)
-Snack & lunch for our nature picnic
-Hat & sunscreen
Parking is $7 per day or $2.00 per hour (2 hour maximum).
If you prefer coming by BART, it's an easy 30-min walk from the station to the Reservoir.
We'll meet up at the flagpole in the middle of the parking lot at 10am!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
